Sept 20-25 Monday Collage & Ted Talk Careers Assignment Intro

Ensure you have Assignment 1, 2 and 3 uploaded to Teams. 

If you were away last Thursday (due to the RMR Trip) you may have today. to finish up Assign 3.  

Assign 3 on Teams -All About Me Collage Project 

If you are done Assign 3 you can move onto Assign 4 in Teams - Ted Talk Summary - Careers Project. 

Task 1 - view a variety of Ted Talks on:

* Careers

* Happiness

* Life & Career 

* Travel 

Any related topic to your life/career interest.

I recommend selecting a talk to review/summarize that is about 10-15 min in length. Shorter won't provide you with much content, too long and you will be writing for a few weeks :) LOL

How do you write a summary? 

Pick out a min of 3-4 points that are presented within the talk you select. 

Start your paragraph. Intro the topic and speaker, perhaps talk about why you selected the talk. 

Highlight the 3-4 points that stood out to you. 

Conclude your paragraph - perhaps state whether you agree or not with the speakers stance, or why you agree or not with the perspective of the talk, or perhaps what point stood out to you the most and why. 

Paragraph length - 5 sentences.
